Fort Campbell is the home of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). The 101st is the only Air Assault Division in the world.

Activated 16 AUG 1942, the 101st has supported military and peace keeping operations in WWII, Vietnam, Persian Gulf, Kosovo, Afghanistan and Iraq.

With an expected completion of March 2012. The chapel and family life multipurpose facility will seat 1,200 people and will assist soldiers and families with their spiritual needs, emotional support, and counseling services.
